During this walking tour you will enjoy 2000 years of Eternal City's history in one day.

 

Morning: Imperial Rome

In the morning we will discover the most important places in the history of ancient Rome. After admiring Piazza del Campidoglio (made by Michelangelo), from its viewpoint we will enjoy a magnificent view over the Roman Forum. Then we will go down on Via dei Fori Imperiali and observe the Trajan's Forum with its Column and the Trajan's Market, a masterpiece by Apollodorus of Damascus. We will pass On the other side and we will have a look to the Forums of Caesar and Augustus, the Forum Transitorio and the Temple of Peace, that hosted the marble Forma Urbis. We will finally reach the Colosseum and the triumphal Arch of Constantine.

Afternoon: Baroque Rome
We will meet in Piazza Venezia before the Altar of the Fatherland, and from there we will discover some Baroque Rome's squares, the most famous in the world. We will begin with the magnificent scenic apparatus of the Trevi Fountain, then we will get lost among the narrow streets of Rome, while searching Spanish Steps with the Barcaccia Fountain. From there we will go to Campo Marzio and discover Piazza Navona with the rivalry between Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini represented by the Fountain of the Four Rivers and the church of St. Agnes in Agone.

info The sites are concentrated within an area not too extensive, but we will walk a lot, so comfortable shoes are recommended. During the tour the entrance into archaeological sites and museums is not expected, so you have not to pay any additional fee for ticket entrance.
